Take inventory of your job duties. Create a training manual for your position. Next, look at your responsibilities and plan to assign some (or all) of your duties to current managers. Duties that you are unable to assign within, hire from outside. Continue to grow your management team. Next, take a one-month vacation. Once you return from vacation, if things are running just fine, or even better, you’ve successfully fired yourself.
